3. Notes and Domino 9.0.1 Fix Pack 8 Available
IBM has released Fix Pack 8 for Notes and Domino 9.0.1. This fix pack introduces several new features including:
- Optionally Move Views outside of NSF for Increased data store in NSF. This feature is useful for large databases and provides a smaller database file size to avoid reaching the 64GB limitation and better performance by allowing concurrent access to database and views.
- The Java run time environment provided with Domino has been upgraded to Java JRE version 1.8 to provide you with access to the latest features.
- Optionally Increase the Document Summary Data limit on Notes 9 databases to 16MB from 64K. (The size limit for a single field remains 32 K.)
- Add support for ADFS 3.0 and update the corresponding Cookbook instructions for configuration.
- Add Show Options: "Group By Date" And "Beginning Of Message"
- Retain MIME formatting when forwarding or replying to internet messages
- Enable displaying internet addresses in mail and calendar documents
- Windows Server 2016 Support

4. IBM Webcast on Notes and Domino 9 Feature Pack 8
IBM will hold a webcast on April 5th to discuss the new features that will be available in Feature Pack 8 for Notes and Domino. There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation. This webcast will be on April 5th at 11:00 AM, New York time. Note that this same information will also be covered by IBM in the TLCC/Teamstudio webinar on March 28th.

5. Warning on Fix Pack 8!!!
Note that Fix Pack 8 has a bug in Domino Designer where the Server Side JavaScript Editor may not appear when editing an XPage or Custom Control. The fix is easy, just do a clean and build on the project (Project - Clean) and the JavaScript Editor will appear again. This will only affect applications that have a Managed Java Bean setup.
