1. Upcoming Webinar: IBM Presents the Notes/Domino Roadmap and a Deep Dive into Feature Pack 8



Join us as IBM presents the plan for IBM Notes and Domino. This webinar will encompass two sessions presented at IBM Connect 2017!

Adam Kesner and Barry Rosen will review the latest updates on Notes/Domino and discuss the future directions and support for Notes and Domino and deliverables over the coming 12-18 months, as IBM moves to a continuous delivery model. Then Martin Donnelly and Brian Gleeson will take a deep dive into the key features delivered in Fix Pack 8 including how to use the new encryption capabilities, improvements to Domino Designer, and more!

2. May 2nd Webinar: Back from the Dead: When Bad Code Kills a Good Server


It's Friday and a new customer calls. Their mission critical app is taking :05 to open documents and the users are quite concerned. Where do you start when handed a 20 year old application you have never seen, on a server you barely know? Join two IBM Champions as they dissect a complex Domino performance problem from both the administration and development side to provide a complete customer solution. The session includes best practices around problem solving techniques and a checklist you can use internally to solve quickly problems you encounter.

3. Notes and Domino 9.0.1 Fix Pack 8 Available

IBM has released Fix Pack 8 for Notes and Domino 9.0.1. This fix pack introduces several new features including:

4. IBM Webcast on Notes and Domino 9 Feature Pack 8

IBM will hold a webcast on April 5th to discuss the new features that will be available in Feature Pack 8 for Notes and Domino. There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation. This webcast will be on April 5th at 11:00 AM, New York time. Note that this same information will also be covered by IBM in the TLCC/Teamstudio webinar on March 28th.

5. Warning on Fix Pack 8!!!

Note that Fix Pack 8 has a bug in Domino Designer where the Server Side JavaScript Editor may not appear when editing an XPage or Custom Control. The fix is easy, just do a clean and build on the project (Project - Clean) and the JavaScript Editor will appear again. This will only affect applications that have a Managed Java Bean setup.
